More than ever we are pitching or educating to an online audience. Effective presentation skills are essential in order to maintain your viewers/prospects attention. There are a number of factors that contribute to developing a successful presentation and this workshop will examine a number of elements such as design, communication and content. Learn how to refine your delivery and engage your audience through a number of powerpoint tools. This course includes a workshop. Please update your PowerPoint before the course begins.

About the trainers: –
Becks Butler
Becks Butler is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Design, Griffith College Dublin and has a professional career in commercial and contemporary photography as well as a visual arts curatorial practice. She exhibited her solo show Pushing Boundaries at illuminations in 2017 and has presented work in group shows at Pallas Projects, RIA, The Complex and The Library Project. Her collections have been purchased by the Royal Irish Academy and private collectors. Becks was awarded the M11 PerCent for Art Commission in 2019 amongst other awards including the Young Entrepreneur of the Year. She recently collaborated with PhotoIreland’s, Critical Academy to bring Performing the Post-human: Subject in Photography to the Museum of Contemporary Photography of Ireland and is a current member of Pivot critical form at The Lab Gallery. Becks has been nominated as FUTURES Irish Talent 2020 and will take her most recent body of work ‘Loopies Filed’ to Unseen Amsterdam this coming year. During the recent lockdown Becks was commissioned to deliver a live artist talk by Culture Ireland’s initiative Ireland Performs. Within her commercial practice, Becks has worked on shoots and design projects for clients such as Guinness, REPEAL Campaign and Style Club and her editorials have been published by The Guardian Uk, Quartz NYC and The Irish Times.
Gwen Kenny –
Gwen Kenny is a multi award winning professional. She is renowned for her personal approach and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. Design Thinking has been a tool used by Gwen in a professional capacity for many years. Gwen completed the Prof. Dip in Innovation, Creativity & Leadership in UCD Innovation Academy. Gwen lectures in Griffith College and has guest lectured in Trinity, UCD and TUD.
Gwen is also an Interior Designer and has applied Design Thinking to numerous jobs including the Olympia Theatre and Teeling Whiskey. Her pursuit of excellence and sustainability in design distinguish her from her peers, making her a sought-after name by prominent businesses, successful professionals and other discerning clients.
Gwen has an unparalleled depth of experience and skill, honed over more than 25 years in the industry alongside a wealth of qualifications, including her Masters in Professional Design Practice.
Her relentless curiosity and hunger for knowledge give Gwen (and her students and clients) an advantage in that she is familiar with state-of-the-art products and innovations, combining these to push the boundaries of what is possible.
Her open friendly approachable manner makes her the ideal person to teach these courses.
